The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (the Hawks) has launched an investigation into the fatal stabbing of a 48-year-old female police sergeant in Duncan Village. The off-duty officer, attached to the Mdantsane Flying Squad, was allegedly murdered by a neighbour after she visited his basement room to check on his well-being at the request of his mother.
