The final act of the Ebubeleni Music Festival was called off on Sunday due to rising Covid-19 cases in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The Jazz in the Park event had been scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon and close off the four-day festival.
Festival founder Marc Mahambehlala said the jazz show had been postponed.
Organisers said in a statement that they were heeding the municipality’s call to halt events because of concerns regarding the spread of the Omicron variant.
“Our Ebubeleni team has been fully compliant with all of the government’s regulations throughout the festival events, and so we will again comply with this request,” they said.
“We want to stress that your health and safety remain our primary concern,.”
Those who bought will be contacted directly and informed about a new date.
