Police foil attempt to scam East London bank

Absa Bank foiled another attempt in the Eastern Cape to defraud it when a man was caught giving false information at a branch in East London. Anda Ntwasa, 35, siblings Pelicane and Zininzi Madotyeni, 28 and 25 respectively, and Mzimasi Cuba, 30, were released on R1,500 bail each on Wednesday at the East London magistrate’s court after they allegedly nearly got away with an elaborate fraud scheme involving fake payslips and bank statements.
